Wireless data shoots up 40 per cent YoY

Opening day CTIA Wireless & Entertainment in San FranciscoLooks like its good times for wireless data revenue makers, considering there has been an increase of 10 per cent in wireless data revenues in 2008, as compared to just two years ago, as per trade group CTIA. U.S. carrier service revenue from wireless data, or non-voice services, reached $14.8 billion in the first half of the year, up 40 percent from the first half of 2007, according to the results of CTIA’s semi-annual wireless survey presented during the CTIA Wireless conference in San Francisco this week.
