Google iPhone App can’t hear them British right
November 21, 2008
The new voice activated search by Google for the iPhone may not be exactly Brits may find useful because of their accents that vary. have no way of checking because for one, I don’t have an iPhone(yet) and second, I’m not British.
But Telegraph recently told of their experience while testing out the app. The word “iPhone” was mistaken for the name “Einstein” while the website “MySpace” was heard as “my sister” for both Kent and Surrey accents.
These are just some funny examples but there are more. Brits, I suggest you try this one on your iPhones and get a kick out of it.

Toshiba G459: It’s a modem-slash-mobile-phone
November 19, 2008
Toshiba earlier rolled out their new G459, a new mobile phone that could very well work as a modem. According to Wired, ‘it’s a 3G modem first then a mobile phone second’.
This may not be something you’d choose over an iPhone or a BlackBerry to perform serious cellphone duties but the modemĀ feature makes it a good choice especially if you’re looking for something to use with your laptop for mobile Internet use.
Only available in Europe, the TOshiba G459 uses HSDPA connectivity. The $205 may not exactly be worth it since it only has 160 MB of storage so using this as an audio player can be disappointing but still, it’s a good portable modem.
