November 21, 2008

Dell Pink Mini 9 netbook by momentimedia We’ve just been waiting for the colored Dell Inspiron 9 netbooks SINCE we only have the black and white for now. The Mini Dell 12 was recently launched so I’m wondering when will Dell decide to ship the other colored ones? Good thing that a red and pink version will be released in Japan this week.

That’s great news for Dell lovers but I just hope all colors will be out soon. Anyway, the Japanese may find the red and pink Dell Mini Inspiron 9 special because they will come with 32GB SSDs.

Pink and red Mini Dell Inspiron 32GB will be available for ¥54,980 which is about $565 in the US.

Solar Charging Bag: Khaki is nice but still looks geeky

November 21, 2008

solar charging messenger bagI’ve missed searching for solar bags to feature but looks like nothing has changed yet. They’re still geeky. Take for example this Solar Messenger Bag that doesn’t look like something the fashionistas would love to use but its eco-friendliness could be a darling.

This $129 khaki-colored solar charging bag can charge any MP3 player, mobile phone, and any rechargeable batteries. Use this bag to school or the office and your devices will have extra juice whenever you need. That is, if you can imagine yourself toting this geeky bag.

Google iPhone App can’t hear them British right

November 21, 2008

Google iPhone voice-recognitionThe new voice activated search by Google for the iPhone may not be exactly Brits may find useful because of their accents that vary. have no way of checking because for one, I don’t have an iPhone(yet) and second, I’m not British.

But Telegraph recently told of their experience while testing out the app. The word “iPhone” was mistaken for the name “Einstein” while the website “MySpace” was heard as “my sister” for both Kent and Surrey accents.

These are just some funny examples but there are more. Brits, I suggest you try this one on your iPhones and get a kick out of it.

Toshiba G459: It’s a modem-slash-mobile-phone

November 19, 2008

Toshiba G450 by momentimediaToshiba earlier rolled out their new G459, a new mobile phone that could very well work as a modem. According to Wired, ‘it’s a 3G modem first then a mobile phone second’.

This may not be something you’d choose over an iPhone or a BlackBerry to perform serious cellphone duties but the modem  feature makes it a good choice especially if you’re looking for something to use with your laptop for mobile Internet use.

Only available in Europe, the TOshiba G459 uses HSDPA connectivity. The $205 may not exactly be worth it since it only has 160 MB of storage so using this as an audio player can be disappointing but still, it’s a good portable modem.
