With Valentines nearing, companies are announcing Valentine editions of their gadgets. We just heard of Amosu and now, we’ve got TomTom with a red version of the Ease. The Google Streetview Car being tracked around Berlin seems to be funny. You see, somebody managed to put a GPS onto the car to stalk it. Now, the camera car can be tracked on Google Maps. It’s a cool idea but also very ironic. According to Ubergizmo, the car hasn’t been moving. Perhaps the driver or someone from Google discovered it already. more »

We all know that speeding isn’t good especially in crowded or fast lanes. A lot of drivers are more careful now according to a study by TomTom. You see, from their collected GPS data, they found out that drivers usually stay within the speed limit. Only Mississippi edged 0.1 miles per our over the 70 mph top speed limit.

The Nuvi 1490TV is the newest product from Garmin. It’s a GPS device that is also a digital TV. Thanks to DVB-T technology, anyone can watch their favorite shows from about 50 channels or listen to the 24 preset radio stations. However, this one works pretty well in Europe. more »

Last week at the CES, Motorola showed off their latest GPS navigation devices and called them the TN500 and TN700. The latter is equipped with a spacious 5.1-inch widescreen display plus spoken street names, junction views, lane guidance, real-time traffic information, and 3D landmarks. more »

Earlier this week, Garmin launched their new handheld GPS devices. Officially called as the Oregon 450 and Oregon 450T, these GPS devices both feature 16 hours battery life, microSD card slots, and 850MB storage. more »

Mark Spezio attached a GPS unit onto his pet cat’s collar and little did he know that he’d be able to use it. The GPS collar can track the kitty’s movements and whereabouts although not in real time.
