eStarling Impact7 Photo Frame: $99 WiFi frame has no impact

November 21, 2008

Impact7 digital photo frame eStarling’s entry to the digital photo frame arena doesn’t make quite an impact even if it’s called the Impact7. For me, it’s just like any ordinary photo frame with WiFi and 7-inch LCD frame.

But good news is, the Impact7 shows good display quality even if it’s cheap at only $99. Other specs of the digi frame include 256 internal memory, USB port, and memory card reader.

Solar Charging Bag: Khaki is nice but still looks geeky

November 21, 2008

solar charging messenger bagI’ve missed searching for solar bags to feature but looks like nothing has changed yet. They’re still geeky. Take for example this Solar Messenger Bag that doesn’t look like something the fashionistas would love to use but its eco-friendliness could be a darling.

This $129 khaki-colored solar charging bag can charge any MP3 player, mobile phone, and any rechargeable batteries. Use this bag to school or the office and your devices will have extra juice whenever you need. That is, if you can imagine yourself toting this geeky bag.

November 20, 2008

Kanguru e-Flash thumbdrive by momentimediaWe’re always featuring portable HDs lately and seems like thumbdrives have been forgotten. But hey, it’s not my fault that companies aren’t introducing products worthy of our attention until now when Kanguru launched their new e-Flash thumdrive. Read more

Voice-Activated Biometric Safe: Your sweet voice heard finally…

November 19, 2008

Voice-Activated Biometric SafeWe just featured the LEGO safe which honestly, is something I’ll never trust my valuables with. Not that I have diamonds and a lot of money to keep requiring me to use a safe but it’s good to keep your important and expensive stuff in a place where nobody will be able to access except yourself.

The Voice-Activated Biometric Safe could be the safest to date since it opens following your voice. It’s only now that biometric technology is picking up so maybe it’s time that I follow suit. However, I still haven’t thought of what things to put inside since I don’t have anything worth keeping.  But then again, money and jewelry are not the only things that can be kept inside so yeah, I’m definitely getting one for Christmas since it only costs $24.99.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Speaker’s eyeballs wiggle to the music

November 19, 2008

SpongeBob SquarePants Eyeball Speaker DockI’ve lost count of how many iPod docks we’ve already featured but the SpongeBob SquarePants Eyeball Speaker Dock is soooo cute! Well, some people may find this scary because the eyeballs are actually detachable but fans of the cartoon show may think otherwise.

This speaker dock is actually soft. The eyeballs may wobble while you play music for that fun, cuteness factor.

The $39.99 speaker dock is currently available from the Nickelodeon Shop. Not bad for a speaker system. So, who among you here thinks that this one is cute? How about scary?

Danball Finger Massaging Robot isn’t a robot, it’s a masseuse

November 19, 2008

Danball Finger Massaging RobotThe Danball Finger Massaging Robot isn’t exactly a robot but at least it gives your finger some love. This one looks like a bowling ball because of the holes. Insert your fingers then have them massaged using shiatsu techniques.

Vibrations do the job massage so maybe we can say that this is just a vibrating device but the Danball features an LED light show, melody, and infrared rays. The IR is said to improve fingernail growth while the LED and music bring relaxation.

The Danball massanger can be very helpful but the $1,991 price tag is just too much.

Steampunk Helmet: Scrap and junk turned luxurious

November 18, 2008

Steampunk Space HelmetThe Steampunk helmet may look trashy too some but for the likes of me who likes classy, geeky, and old school stuff, it’s marvelous.! Okay, the adjective may be too grand but seriously, this one looks like something luxurious.

It’s just a work of art by Herr Döktor, a Brass Goggles forum member, using various junk and scrap. It doesn’t do anything special but at least it looks worthy to be displayed in a museum.

November 18, 2008

USB Digital EndoscopeWe’ve seen the USB Microscope a while ago and now, here’s another device that will make you want to become a doctor. Maybe not exactly a medical doctor but just someone who can access those inaccessible places that you want to see with a tiny camera.

The USB Digital Endoscope measures two feet while the cable measures 32 inches and comes with tiny LED lights. It can magnify up to 40x with its mini microscope so you could see stuff you want to see.

Mixtape Purse: The best mixtape ever?

November 14, 2008

Mixtape purseI am not ashamed to say that I still listen to my old cassette tapes. I am thinking of a way to digitize them but I just don’t have the time. You know, there’s something about tapes that will always be special to me. Old school alright but they will forever remind me of my childhood. Read more
