HFI-15G Headphones: Better form but poorer audio quality

November 21, 2008

Ultrasone HFI-15G headphones You can say that the new HFI-15G headphones could just be another addition to our long list of headphones but this $109 pair allows sound and air to pass through. The headphones are open-back, featureing S-Logic surround sound technique.

The pair comes equipped with a smaller driver as compared to its predecessor, the HFI-580. Though cheaper, initial review by CrunchGear says that quality has decreased.

Gadget 3.0: iPod Shuffle Bracelet is absolutely eyecandy

November 20, 2008

iPod Shuffle BraceletGadget concepts, though not true, keep me alive. Reading and just dreaming about them, wondering when they will ever come to existence are enough to keep me breathing. Naaah, it’s just an exaggeration but really, concepts and mods that try to break away from the norm can be a treat to my eyes. Read more

November 20, 2008

Video iPod Holder with MagnifierRemember the iPod Nano TV? While it looks retro, this Video iPod Holder with Magnifier looks too dorky. The black leather should have done justice to this accessory but to no avail. Read more

November 19, 2008

I-Dog Soft SpeakerThe I-Dog Soft Speaker isn’t an animal robot that can do tricks but this one is just a cute speaker.  Doggie speaker is soft and cuddly you’d want to bring with you to sleep.

Features of the I-Dog include LED lights on the face. It has ears that wiggle to the music. Actually, it’s the 2nd version already but this one here is more advanced obviously.

SpongeBob SquarePants: Speaker’s eyeballs wiggle to the music

November 19, 2008

SpongeBob SquarePants Eyeball Speaker DockI’ve lost count of how many iPod docks we’ve already featured but the SpongeBob SquarePants Eyeball Speaker Dock is soooo cute! Well, some people may find this scary because the eyeballs are actually detachable but fans of the cartoon show may think otherwise.

This speaker dock is actually soft. The eyeballs may wobble while you play music for that fun, cuteness factor.

The $39.99 speaker dock is currently available from the Nickelodeon Shop. Not bad for a speaker system. So, who among you here thinks that this one is cute? How about scary?

Gadget 3.0: iPod Touch Nano to launch soon?

November 19, 2008

iPod Touch Nano with removable game controllerThe new iPod Nano is one sleek music player that could hurt people because of its sharp edges. Got to see one last week and man, it could be a deadly weapon. I am hoping that next year, Steve Jobs will introduce a new gen. Maybe something that looks like this concept iPod Nano by Isamu Sanada.

The concept iPod Touch Nano is obviously a combination of the Nano and the Touch.  It features a 3.5 mm headphone jack, a spacious 2.8 inch touchsreen display, and dual dock connectors.

Like the current iPod Nano, the Nano Touch would come in different colors. Of course, this is just a concept but who knows, our friends over at Apple may find this one a nice idea.

Tuned Bear: Cute speaker system is geeky shiny

November 18, 2008

tuned bear ipod speakerThis stuffed bear from Hirokawa Japan is shiny, classy, and cute at the same time. We’ve seen similar gadgets before but this one has captured my heart. Not only it won’t look too childish but this one can actually be something I’d be proud to display and use with me.

The Tuned Bear is actually a sound system for your PC or any other media player. SUre, this may not produce high quality audio but at least it works.

Tuned Bear is currently available for 39 at Rakuten’s Plywood store.

Building Block iPod Dock: Yet another LEGO-themed iPod dock

November 14, 2008

LEGO iPod DockThis isn’t the first LEGO-inspired dock we’ve featured since there is the Eton Porsche and the cool LEGO iPod dock but I particularly find this one to show more LEGOness. The red, white, and blue color combination may remind you of the recent US elections but this one here produces really great audio. Read more
