Minnesota courts seem to have lost the power to judge right or have tied up with the underworld to make some money out of the public (ouch!). Well in a recent ruling by a Minnesota court, a woman, Jammie Thomas has been ordered to pay $1.92 million for sharing 24 songs! I mean c’mon.

The entire ruling in this case was almost like an auction with the price for each song rising from $750 to $80,000 and the penalty being dropped from 1700 odd songs to 24 representing ones.

As shocking as it may seem, it is also ridiculously hilarious that all the education gets lawyers to making decisions like these.

The decision isn’t final yet, and may go through several more stages of filtering, but instead of being subdued don’t be surprised if it runs into billions and trillions.
