We’ve heard of news about the Palm Pre running iTunes. It’s possible but Apple thinks otherwise. Apple recently sent out a statement about the digital media players which they are not supporting.

Here’s the official note:

Apple does not provide support for, or test for compatibility with, non-Apple digital media players and, because software changes over time, newer versions of Apple’s iTunes software may no longer provide syncing functionality with non-Apple digital media players.

Will this change now that Jon Rubinstein is part of Palm? I doubt.
