Toshiba just launched their new Satellite laptops: the L500 and the L550. The L550 offers LED backlight technology, 7.3-inch HD TruBrite display, and 1600 x 900 pixels.

The L500, on the other hand, comes with a 15.6-inch HD TruBrite display with 1366 x 768 pixels. Both lappies are equipped with the following:

• Intel Celeron, Pentium, Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon, Turion processor
• 500GB hard drive
• DVD burner
• VGA web camera
• Face Recognition software
• HDMI port
• 4-in-1 Bridge Media slot
• two USB 2.0 ports
• WiFi
• Bluetooth
• Ethernet
• additional eSATA/USB combo port

Expect for these laptops to land this 3rd quarter in Africa, Middle East, and Europe this year.
