According to U.S.Bloggers Michael Arrington of TechCrunch and Owen Thomas of ValleyWag, it seems Apple is just about to buy Twitter.com for $700 Mio in cash.

Last month Google tried to aquire the booming Micro-Blogging site - however Twitter founder and CEO Evan Williams rebuffed the internet search giant. Previously, social networking site Facebook.com offered $500 Million for Twitter - but Williams also rejected the offer.
