Apple iPhone may come to Verizon soon

April 27th, 2009

iphone, ad, apple by you.It seems that Apple and Verizon are discussing the possibility of getting a Verizon version of the iPhone ready for 2010, sources tell USA Today. Why not before you might ask? Well, the answer is: First, so far Apple has an exclusive contract with AT&T that runs through next year. Secondly, an Apple iPhone version for Verizon version would presumably have to be CDMA-ready, which means the innards of the iPhone would have to be slightly tweaked, as the current iPhone is GSM-only (which AT&T, and most other cell networks run on).
