Google Maps have been around for some time now and the many layers and maps have amazed a lot of people. I, for one, spend some time with the online app when I’m all bored. I know I don’t have the means now to travel around the world so I just settle viewing with the Google Maps.

Just recently, a new layer has been added. It’s a layer meant for webcams, showing different thumbnails from public webcams. Webcams.travel tracks the webcam photos and share with Google Maps.

Other layers include public transit, YouTube videos, and Wikipedia entries.
