Baby Boomers think texting and tweeting during meetings are rude

April 16th, 2009

Worldone by you.The generation of the Baby Boomers think that texting and checking e-mails on the cellphone during a meeting is really rude. That is, according a recent survey of white collar workers by NexisLexis.

The survey found out that 69 percent of Baby Boomers hate people who do not pay attention during meetings. According to TechCrunch, the Baby Boomers said that “PDAs and mobile phones contribute to the decline of proper workplace etiquette”.

Well, even the Gen Y think that it is really impolite but some of them think that they can deal with it better. Younger workers, on the other hand, think that multi-tasking during meetings can be more productive that’s why they do check their cellphones and laptops.
