Nokia planning to enter the laptop arena

February 26th, 2009

With netbook sales expected to rise this 2009, Nokia is also said to be tapping into the notebook computer industry. It was Olli-Pekks Kallasvuo, CEO of Nokia, who mentioned something about the famous phone manufacturer looking “very actively also at this opportunity”.

If true, this will be the first time Nokia will be making laptops after being known as the number one manufacturer of mobile phones in the world. This maybe a good thing since Nokia has since been making phones that could act as computers. Make them a bit bigger and you’ve got a small computer.

I’m excited as to what Nokia could come up should they decide to enter the mobile computer arena.
