Last month, we mentioned how Creative may be releasing an HD version of the Vado since a holiday catalog in Singapore showed an HD version. It was believed to be a rumor until yesterday when Creative unveiled the Vado HD. This HD pocketcam will obviously rival the Flip Mino HD.

This new HD pocketcam is ideal for those YouTube addicts who just love taking videos of even trivial stuff but would still want to show them in hi-def. It comes with HDMI connectivity and can capture 720p videos.

The Creative Vado HD cam also comes with an HDMI cable allowing you to connect it to an HDTV with a 1080i output.  Other features include a 2-inch LCD screen, USB connector, and 8GB of internal memory.

This $199 pocket HD cam can record up to about two hours of video in HD, good enough for YouTubers. Sells here at Creative.com
