The invention of Robots has been known as a marvel of science, and we over here do not disagree, especially looking at the R2 over here from Hammacher Schlemmer.

This robot can respond to almost 40 sounds and also has an occasional bad day.

The R2 robo dude will cost you $169.95. Yeah, I know its a bit costlier than your next door pug, but hey, its all that much smarter too.
