Tough times: 2010 is getting even tougher than 2009 for mobile phone firms

November 25th, 2008

Samsung and NokiaOur friends over at CrunchGear recently noted that 2010 will be worse for both Nokia and Samsung. Not just for the two companies but for the rest of the mobile industry and worse than 2009.  Sure, 2008 is still not over but with the current economic situation, it’s easy to say that next year will be bad.

Gadget spending of consumers has gone down already but there are still a few handsets still triumphant like the iPhone. Maybe Nokia and Samsung should just concentrate on working on smartphones instead after all, more and more people want and need their mobile phones to do all sorts of tasks for them.
