Both the Tokyo University of Agriculture and Technology and the Dai Nippon Printing recently worked on a printing technology that makes it possible to view 3D images in.

According to a report by CrunchGear, the printing technology allows the naked eye to see high-quality 3D images on a paper.

The Japanese researchers said that the ‘images viewed from different angles are printed separately’, forming the 3D view. Officially called as the Dynacube3D, this new technology converts images up to 80 viewpoints in just one image. Fine dots using the halftone printing technique is also used.

Production cost of 3D images start at $10,000.
