UN chief: 4 billion mobile phone subscriptions by 2009

The UN Chief predicted that before the year 2009 happens, the world will soon be filled with about four billion of mobile phone subscriptions. There was already 3.3 billion phone subscriptions last year in November so the 4 million number may be expected.
Phone subscription is rapidly growing in the Middle East and Africa with an expected 25 and 27 percent increase every year. The growth in number is not really a surprise and every one in the whole world having a cellphone of his own could be a pretty sight. Ummm…naaah…
