Mobile Phones now used as an education tool by some teachers
September 12, 2008
Before, mobile phones were banned in schools and classrooms because they could be tools for cheating. But now, they’ve become more than just communication tools because some teachers are already using them to send educational podcasts, virtual handouts, and e-mails.
In a recent survey made by Pew Research Center survey, it was found out that almost 71 percent of teen students have their own mobile phones. So maybe not all do not have their own phones but this fact could bring another set of problems if teachers decide to integrate cellphone use into the classrooms as part of learning.
In my opinion, there must be a rule or the teachers themselves must regulate how the mobiles are being used inside and outside the classroom.
