IFA: Rollei rolls out X-8 Sports 8MP waterproof camera

The IFA show in Berlin is one of the most exciting events in the techworld because we get to see the latest, the most unique, and sometimes, even the weirdest gadgets such as the Rollei X-8 Sports. So far Rollei may not be your most popular brand but this digicam has a potential to make quite a stir with its monster features even in its lightest form. Light at only 158g, the Rollei X-8 Sports is waterproof up to 10 meters, ready for dirt or cold weather, and is resistant to moisture. Why, it can take a 1 meter drop so you have nothing to worry about if you’ve been to careless.
Other specs include up to 1600 of ISO, 8 megapixels, and 3x optical zoom. Rollei X-8 Sports will be officially released this September or October.

Rollei is on a real winner with this camera which is rugged enough to take sailing and keep in the pocket of your wet gear to get the close action of whales and dolphins along with other boats while actually out on the water.
If you leave it over night in our pocket it will not self destruct like some ot the other “WaterProof” cameras that are out on the market
Only disadvantage is that they are not well set up yet in North America nad the Europeans get the first chance to buy these units..
