LG decides to enter the netbook era with a bang
August 31, 2008
As for computer manufacturers, this is the era of the netbook, waking them all from their newfound “lack of innovation sleep” if I may call it so, to engage in cut-throat competition again, while each one tries to outdo the other one.
LG is no alien to this competition either, but has decided to enter with a bang. Yeah, the LG netbook, the X110 which is likely to be released early November is scheduled to use a design based on gentle curves for a slender appearance and will be available in the colours white, silver, and pink. Pretty cool, I’d say, and definitely unisex.
That apart, this obvious choice of netbook lovers (atleast I think it would be), would come equipped with upto 120 GB hard drive and 10 inch widescreen display. LG also promises that the 82-key keyboard will ensure fatigue free typing even over extended periods. If you’re looking for speedy internet access onroad, the netbook will also have a 3G HSDPA module (optional), apart from the the usual network interfaces such as 802.11 b/g WiFi and 10/100 Ethernet.
Of course details of the processor, operating system, and pricing are not out yet, and LG has chosen to be secretive about it till the product launches in November.
