Your Remote for Cooking: Space Invaders Cutting Board
July 26, 2008
Cooking can be an ever so mundane task for some, but if you want to add some excitement to this activity, then you should check out the Space Invaders Cutting Board, which is designed and hand-built by Cameron Oehler in the USA. The board is made in a very surprisingly, unique style. Its 15″x10″x1.5″ wooden slab is made with each cube of walnut and hard-maple carefully glued to each other, then sanded and polished to give it a shiny and glossy finish. It’s has Classic Videogame looks with characters embedded in the woodgrain.
But one has to be very careful about its usage and washing. Since walnut has been used in it, this product should be avoided by those allergic to the nut. And since it is handmade, don’t ever shove it into the dishwasher, lest you end up putting all your money down the drain.
I am sure you would be that careful, since if not anything else, it at least makes a mundane activity like cooking fun and colourful. (SiBa)
