One billion sold: BlackBerry is World’s No. 1 Smartphone

Over the last year, BlackBerry has been the number one selling smartphone in the world according to a report by Yahoo Finance. In 2007, almost a billion of mobile phones were sold. About 14 million are BlackBerrys, that’s almost 1.4% of a billion, making it the number one in the smartphone market.

Nokia, on the other hand, holds 40% share of the market . And just recenly, a report mentioned that the smarthone market even grew by 50%.
