Livre Leather-bound E-book Reader: Looks Traditional Yet Digital
I like the Kindle but Amazon could do better than that. It’s just a matter of time before e-book readers reach the status of mobile phones, you know, with the interchangeable casing, accessories, bling, and even pink-perfection. Right now, a leather e-book reader would do I guess. Like this one concept from a Monash University student, his Livre, is an electronic reader that looks traditional with its leather cover. Flip the pages by sliding your fingers ala iPod Touch.
There are people who still prefer paperbacks and newspaper while there are others like me who still prefer all things electronic and digital. The Livre concept can be a compromise for those who like the smell of new leather and yet don’t want to fill up their bookshelves.
