Car Chameleon : Now a Possibility

November 30th, 2007

Changing your car’s paint every now and then is a possibility…atleast in the near future. Japanese car company Nissan was reported to have developed paramagnetic paint that allows the owner to change the color of the carpaint with just a switch. The paramagnetic paint coating is described to be a “unique polymer layer with iron oxide particles.” And how does it change color? The polymer crystals when applied by electric current is interpreted as different colors by the human eye. more »

iphone_inhandAs the Mercury News just reports, Apple will release a new version of the iPhone with a much faster data connection next year, according to the CEO of partner AT&T, Randall Stephenson.
In response to a question following an appearance at a Churchill Club dinner in Santa Clara, AT&T’s Randall Stephenson confirmed that a 3G, or third-generation, version of the iPhone is in the works. “Has (Apple CEO Steve) Jobs announced that? I don’t think he’s announced that, but you’ll have it next year,” Stephenson said. He did not know what it will cost and didn’t say when it will debut. “Steve (Jobs) will dictate where the price of the phone is,” he said.

iring2I should be busy searching for a wedding ring but the iRing definitely caught my eye. Designed by artist Victor Soto , the iRing controls playback with your wireless and Bluetooth enabled Apple gadgets such as the iPhone and the iPod. It comes with a touch-sensitive OLED display.

The iRing lets you control the volume, play, and pause your favorite song or video. It may not have 4 karat stones but it’s definitely worth a second glance.

PC Piano: A Novelty?

November 28th, 2007

Definitely a weird and useless computer mod for me, the PC Piano that is currently making its round in eBay has caught the attention of many geeks. Just when the PC and Mac worlds are developing mini-computers, here comes the computer piano. It’s not a piano connected to a computer but rather a computer installed inside a piano. Whoever did this must love music so much that he’d choose a piano over an ordinary computer table. The 1904 Chickering piano was made into a Windows XP computer with an impressive 26″ LCD panel,1GB RAM, and 500GB of hard drive space.Buy Now price at eBay is US $19,998.00. I wonder when this will sell and who will be the weird one to really buy such.

Okay, so there have been a dime a dozen USB drives out there, each one outdoing the other in terms shape, size and overall design. But then in the gold-and diamond-studded style culture of today, it’s not been untill now that these little useful devices have had their fair share of the pie right?

What you see up there is yet another wierdly designed flash USB, except that is one is gem-studded. Of course, it makes for some great looks and yeah the stylish ones can team it up as a chain on their neck, the only difference being that this one is a useful one. more »
