Finally, Vista (somewhat) safer

MS fans, Vista affinados and PC slaves, save your bucks and feel -at least somewhat- safer while using Microsoft’s latest Windows version: Antivirus company Avira just released its first AntiVir version compatible with Vista. The award-winning AntiVir Personal Edition is still free and certainly as good as expensive alternatives from Norton et cetera. Not that we Gizmonistas are big Windows fans but we also run a Vista machine as a (cheap) Media Center and record loads of TV stuff and now appreciate Avira’s latest efforts.

Apple ships 100 millionth iPod

Apple said on Monday that it has sold its 100 millionth iPod, marking a major milestone in the product’s history.

Since introducing the iPod in November 2001, the company has unveiled more than 10 new iPod models. The music player has also sparked an ecosystem of more than 4,000 accessories, ranging from fashionable cases to speaker systems. More than 70 percent of 2007 model cars in the United States currently offer iPod connectivity.
